SMA Muscle Wire is a name for shape memory alloy actuator wires. Made of nickel-titanium these small diameter wires contract (typically 2% to 4% of their length) like muscles when electrically driven or heated. GEE manufactures two standard transition temperature materials: LT (70°C -85°C), and HT (90°C-110 °C).
